People no longer trust that elections can change govt - MDC-T official

An MDC-T official Chalton Hwende has said the problem that Zimbabwe has now is that people have lost hope that elections can change government that is why there is still low turn out in the voter registration process.
Voter registration process in urban areas have been characterized with low turn out amid concerns by the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission chairperson Rita Makarau.
"Our biggest challenge is that the majority of Zimbabweans don't believe that elections can bring about a change in Government and in turn their lives. This explains why there is no enthusiasm to register to vote and why less then 55% of those who bothers to register turn up on voting day?" said Hwende.
