Old Bob readjusted dead wood cabinet - PDP

People's Democratic Party has condemned President Robert Mugabe's reshuffling of the cabinet ministers saying he has just re adjusted the cabinet with dead wood.
"The wait is over. Old Bob has readjusted his cabinet or perhaps you prefer to call it reshuffling but allow me to call it just that, a readjustment. It appears it is a lot of hot air after all. Mostly it was just a recycling of the same old rotting dead wood. Nothing new at all and of course the deadest would, the chief constant throughout remains firmly in control," he said.
"Take the front right hand tyre, make it the rear left one. Take the rear left one, make it the spare wheel. Slightly adjust the rear view mirror then tell the world you have refurbished your car. And you leave the driver in place, who ran it down smashing it into walls and running over people's stalls. The whole thing stinks. This reshuffle has nothing to do with improving anything for the nation. It is a reflection of the succession tensions in Zanu Pf."
The party said what new things can Ignatius Chombo offer in any government ministry?
"I think by Zanu Pf standards Chinamasa was doing fine. But perhaps he was rather too honest, again by their standards. Now with November around the corner perhaps a new face will have a different approach to the bonus issue, or with elections looming a less scrupulous person is needed who won't have qualms dipping his hands into state coffers to finance the party," said the party.
"The national purse is perhaps safe in the hands of a faithful G40 minions, safe in the case that it can be used for just the right thing for Zanu Pf. Chinamasa was never reliable in that regard. Remember, the ghost of Tsholotsho still haunts him. Happyton Bonyongwe! Former head of our local GESTAPO. I shudder if we are safe under him in that regard. I never knew the man is a law person. Well , let him be rewarded for a job well done. I believe Old Bob is showing gratitude to him for keeping him on the throne. 2008 comes to mind."
"Countrymen are optimistic and will always hope for the best. Well, some of us indeed expected worse. We thought we would see Amai there. Perhaps the wily old fox is stalling for time, saving the best, or is it the worst, for last. And The Crocodile has lost the justice ministry. Is it his feathers being plucked out at last? Well Bob knows, but the assertion is still the same, it is more to do with ZanuPf factionalism, the worst is yet to come."
The party said what is that funny ministry Patrick Chinamasa is supposed to be leading?
" Can someone define for me what that ministry is for. Whose security is being promoted here, that of the state, the individual or ZanuPf. This is bad, really bad.
And what shall be detected. And we are going towards election Citizens. A lot is at stake. This is a frightening ministry. Let us gear up for the worst," said the party.
