Cabinet positions are not for prestige, says Mphoko

Vice President Phelekezela Mphoko has urged newly appointed Minister of State for Matabeleland South Province, Aaron Maboyi Ncube to drive the development agenda of the province with dedication and commitment for the benefit of the people.
Speaking on the sidelines of commemorations to mark the International Day for Older Persons in Gwanda this Thursday, Mphoko who congratulated the newly appointed Minister of State for Matabeleland South Province on his post, was quick to remind him that the position is not for prestige.
Vice President Mphoko said Ncube should not only continue from where his predecessors left but should always consult for the good of the province.
He reminded the local leadership that Matabeleland South is endowed with vast resources which should be exploited to sustain the livelihoods of citizens in the province.
Ncube said through unity of purpose and support from the senior party leadership the province is poised for greatness.
The meeting was also attended by the Politburo and Central Committee members, members of parliament and representatives of various government departments.
