Community urged to utilise mobile registration

Habakkuk Trust Community Advocacy Action Teams in most parts of Matobo District identified the issue of access to birth certificates as a main challenge in their communities.
The Registrar General's office is currently conducting mobile registration programme where people can acquire birth certificates, national identity cards as well as death certificates in their local community free of charge.
The Action Teams advocating on birth certificates have encouraged local community to take advantage of the exercise to acquire civil documents so that they can be able to enjoy access to basic social services. They resolved to play an active role in encouraging community members to obtain identity documents.
The Action Teams were given schedule for mobile registration for their Wards so that they can disseminate information on the dates and the requirements for one to obtain birth certificates and national identity cards.
