Salvation Army captain 'rapes' grade 6 pupil

A Salvation Army captain in Kachuta, Guruve area was arrested for allegedly raping a grade six pupil after forcing her to do house hold chores at his house on Saturday.
Sources close to investigations allege that Ernestna Jack took a grade six pupil from Chemachinda primary, which is under Salvation Army, and ordered her to perform some household chores before raping her whilst her friends played outside.
"The man of cloth is currently assisting police with investigations after he was accused of raping a 14 year old girl.
"He reportedly took her into his house during the absence of his wife and ordered her to do house hold chores while the minor's friends played outside," revealed the source.
The case came to light after the victim told the school's, School Development Committee (SDC) chairman who subsequently told the headmaster of the school.
The headmaster wrote a letter to Guruve District Schools Inspector Mr Penius Dambuza which was leaked to Bulawayo24.com informing him about the abuse.
When contacted for comment Mr Dambuza could neither confirm nor deny saying he was yet to get a formal report.
"We are waiting to see a formal report, may be if you can get in touch tomorrow we can furnish the media with the information you want, said Dambuza before hanging up.
