Two Guruve men were arraigned before Guruve magistrate court yesterday after hunting a female Eland and a porcupine
Brian Chimbumu (31) and Calvin Muzwati (24) of Zvikumbo village pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The duo were remanded to 2 November on $50 bail each by Guruve resident magistrate Shingirai Mutiro.
Prosecutor Spiwe Makarichi told the court that the accused were found by Parks and Wildlife game rangers with dried meat, a spear and blood stained jacket in their village.
The rangers quizzed the suspects and they admitted to the charge leading to their arrest.
Meanwhile, poaching is now prevalent in Guruve district but Parks and Wildlife rangers are not taking anything to chance since they are bringing the suspects to book.
