Butt patter jailed 3 months

A 25-YEAR-OLD Mbare man has been sentenced to an effective three months in jail for touching a woman's private parts and buttocks.
Leopold Nyekete pleaded guilty when he appeared before Mbare magistrate Sharon Rakafa charged with indecent assault.
He was initially sentenced to five months in prison before two months were suspended for five years on condition he does not commit a similar offence.
The remaining three months shall be effective.
Circumstances leading to Nyekete's arrest are that the complainant who resides in Mbare and a student at University of Zimbabwe was walking from church on October 5.
She was walking along Masvingo bus terminus when the accused went towards her and he touched her va**na as well as her buttocks without her consent.
The complainant stopped him but the accused went on to insult her, telling her to keep her mouth shut.
The complainant reported the matter to the police which led to Nyekete's arrest.
