Cop rapes minor

A 26 -year -old Zimbabwe Republic Police officer at Zaka police station was arrested on Monday for allegedly raping a minor.
Sources close to investigations confirmed that Farai Chigweshe was arrested for allegedly raping a 15 year old girl twice on separate occasions.
"We can confirm that constable Chigweshe was arrested for contravening Section 65(I) of the Criminal Codification Act Chapter 9:23.
"The cop reportedly met the complaint and her friend who were on their way to Chiredzana business Centre in Masvingo East province in April.
"He proposed love and the girl who is said to have told him to hold on while she contemplated on the matter but the two exchanged phone numbers," said the source.
Chigweshe called the girl to a police base, the girl came with her friend.
The accused is said to have hatched a plan and gave the complaint's friend his mobile phone to play games while he unlawfully had sexual intercourse with the complaint, though without her consent.
In May Chigweshe called the girl again to his house who was again accompanied by her friend.
The cop reportedly gave the complaint 50cents to go and buy Zap Nax as a way to buy her silence.
The accused is alleged to have had unprotected sex with the complaint without her consent.
Bulawayo24.com learnt that the matter came to light after the girl fell pregnant and narrated her ordeal to her aunty who subsequently filed a police report.
