A ZVISHAVANE man has approached the court demanding a refund of the $2 500 he paid as maintenance to his ex-wife before the couple went for Deoxyribonucleic Acid (DNA) tests, which proved that he was not the father of the two boys he was alleged to have sired.
Pedzisai Dube claimed he had paid $2 500 to his ex-wife Chipo Zhou for the upkeep of the children over the past two years.
Appearing before Zvishavane magistrate Archie Wochiunga, Dube said he wanted his former wife to refund him the money he paid as maintenance.
The matter is set to heard next Monday.
In a related case, a 20-year-old man from Mandava suburb stunned the court when he claimed that he was entitled to bed his 14-year-old girlfriend.
But Wochiunga convicted him and ordered him to perform 135 hours of community service for bedding a minor.
