A 22-YEAR-OLD Bindura man who hired and strangled a commercial sex worker to death accusing her of stealing his $60 cash, was on Thursday this week slapped with a 15-year jail term after being convicted of murder with constructive intent by High Court judge Justice Clement Phiri.

The murderer, Tony Jax Ncube of Chipindura Park, throttled Faith Arimandi to death on October 4 this year after spending a night with her.

The court heard prior to the incident, Ncube met Arimandi at a night club and the two agreed to proceed to the convict's residence after hiring a taxi.

The court heard that Ncube's wife was not at home and the two used his bedroom for the services.

However, the following morning, Ncube is said to have accused Arimandi of having stolen his money from his wallet and the two had an altercation which resulted in Ncube throttling Arimandi to death.

After killing the woman, Ncube allegedly shoved the body into two 50kg bags, hired a vehicle from his brother-in-law's car, which he used to ferry the body and dumped it at the town's dumping site.

But when Arimandi's body was discovered the same day, news spread throughout the town and the taxi driver who had taken her to Ncube's residence, volunteered the information to the police, leading to the convict's arrest.

In his defence, Ncube denied having had the intention to kill the woman, but admitted throttling her with the intention of inducing her to give him back his money.
