First Lady Grace Mugabe and members of her G40 faction are ‘not finished' with former Vice President Emmerson Mnangagwa as yet, Khuluma Afrika has reliably learnt.
Grace Mugabe engineered Mnangagwa's ouster from government just yesterday, but failed in her bid to have him removed as Zanu PF Vice President and second secretary.
Khuluma Afrika reported yesterday that all provinces had been instructed to pass a vote of no confidence in Mnangagwa by lunch time, which would have allowed Mugabe to sack him from the party as well.
However, by end of day yesterday, they had only managed to get official votes passed by 4 provinces; Bulawayo, Mashonaland Central, Mashonaland West and Manicaland.
The Zanu PF Youth League, led by Kudzai Chipanga also passed its vote of no confidence, and called for Mnangagwa's sacking.
Khuluma Afrika has been told by G40 insiders that Grace Mugabe is extremely frustrated and wants to finish Mnangagwa off completely by having him removed from all positions in the party.
"The thing is, she fears that if he remains in the party, he might engineer a Presidential bid from the inside and topple her husband, and herself." a source said.
Consequently, massive anti-Mnangagwa demonstrations have been planned and slated provisionally for tomorrow or sometime during the week.
T-Shirts and placards denouncing Mnangagwa have already been printed, and there are plans to bus youths from surrounding provinces.
As reported earlier, Grace Mugabe has also targeted all Mnangagwa allies in a massive blitz aimed at removing any support structures for the former Vice President.
