Government committed to education for all

The government has reinforced its commitment to ensure access to education for all by conducting inclusive education outreach programmes in various communities.
The right to education is among the most basic fundamental rights for every child in Zimbabwe.
However, for Zimbabwe this right is not given especially for those families living in poverty and more so for the disabled child.
To address this anomaly, government has embarked on an intensive drive to embrace every child under the inclusive education outreach programmes, a development expected to enrich learning for all.
Empowering children through education is the first step towards self sufficiency and moving away from the dependency syndrome that has exposed the underprivileged.
Inclusive education centres its efforts on children who are vulnerable and prone to exclusion and marginalisation.
It is therefore an overall principle that should guide all educational and policies and practices.
