Ex-Zpra war veteran Max Mkandla has expressed concerns that President Robert Mugabe's interface rallies which were conducted by the party in nine provinces were nothing to do with the youths but were meant to settle scores with former Vice President Emmerson Mnangagwa whom Mugabe fired recently

Mkandla said he discovered that the rallies had nothing to do with the youths as was purported but were only dealing with Mnangagwa..

"There were prepared venues to destroy Mnangagwa at public places. What happened in Gwanda and Bulawayo was not happening in other provinces where these rallies were held. We wonder why Matabeleland has been used to destroy Mnangagwa," Mkandla said.

"They destroyed Mnangagwa here in Matabeleland. They had to use the venues to destroy him. Mnangagwa attended with his family to be embarrassed in front of them. Its now game over for Zanu PF. Mnangagwa issues must be handled with great care as he has support and can mobilise against his ousters."

Mkandla however, rapped Zanu PF members for calling for Grace Mugabe to take over from Mnangagwa saying this country can not be led by a burial society leader.. He urged the opposition parties to come together and remove Zanu PF from power come 2018 saying they must do away with own policies but focus on the need to remove the heartless regime.
