Magwegwe former students start association

Former students of Magwegwe High School have formed an association to help their former school. This was said by the interim President of the association Dumisani Gumpo.
"We decided to widen our net to harness the skills of all the former students of this wonderful school. We have Professors, Doctors, teachers, nurses, ordained Pastors and other differently skilled people, even footballers. We encourage all of these technocrats to bring their heads together and help the school that shaped their future." Gumpo said.
Gumpo also said a website will soon be created to detail all the activities and immediate tasks for their alma mater. The constitution has been drafted by the Interim Executive Committee that comprises of professionals in excess of ten very varied individuals. Gumpo again reiterated that this world has become a global village, with the technology we have, it has never been easier to conduct business. He said all the elections will be done online after the interim period.

"The school has over thirty exit streams since its formation in 1982, that includes those who joined in 1983 to become the first group to leave Magwegwe Secondary in 1984. Since then the school has evolved and now has A level. As you can see, we have some who are exiting this year and adding to our team of dedicated and energetic youngsters who will run this association."
Gumpo then said the 80s team of exit groups are happy to inaugurate the Council of Elders that will help youngsters than compete for seats with them. "We have to mention that at the moment individuals donate what they can afford until the Executive Committee is established who will then determine the Joining and subscription fees. We also hasten to say that this formation supersedes the one that was previously started, they will be merged into Magwegwe Former Students Association aka MAFOSA."
