President Robert Mugabe's 88th birthday is going to be held in Mutare next Tuesday, amid revelations that the Octogenarian leader will spend more than half a million for the party.

The figure, which Zanu PF sources refused to reveal is more than half what Mugabe's Most Obedient Son, Obert Mpofu spent in his birthday and graduation bash weeks ago.

Mpofu, who is Mines and Mining Development minister, has coiled himself a reputation for singing all correspondence to Mugabe as: Your Most Obedient Son.

It is the Gushungo party that has sent tongues wagging within Zanu PF word has it that Mugabe has dipped his hands in dirty diamonds money and heavily invested in his bash.

"We are told that Number One (Mugabe) a got of money from diamonds companies to finance the party," a Zanu PF insider said.

Diamond mining companies - Mbada, Marange and Canadile are reportedly stampeding to make hefty donations to Mugabe to appease him and his Most Obedient Son.

Mugabe, whose party is dubbed: The 21tst February Movement, has a record of force-marching school children to his poorly attended birthday parties.

In parties Mugabe has a habit of saying his long anti-imperialist speeches and attacking the opposition.

However, this year â€" sick, frail and old â€" he is expected to be less talkative though foul â€"mouthed as usual against the opposition.
