MEMBERS of Parliament belonging to the Movement for Democratic Change formation led by Professor Welshman Ncube all managed to account for how they used us$50 000 which government gave them for developing their constituencies.
The Prof Ncube led MDC MPs are: Siyabonga Malandu Ncube (Insiza South), Thandeko Zinti Mkandla (Gwanda North), Patrick Dube (Gwanda Central), Nomalanga Khumalo (Umzingwane), Edward Mkhosi (Mangwe), Moses Mzila Ndlovu (Bulilima West) and Maxwell Dube (Tsholotsho South).
The legislators who failed to account for Community Development Funds so far are Zanu-PF : Peter Chanetsa (Hurungwe N), Edward Chindori-Chininga (Guruve S), Franco Ndambakuwa (Magunje), Larry Mavhima (Zvishavane Runde), Abraham Sithole (Chiredzi E) and Minister Douglas Mombeshora. MDC-T: Marvelous Khumalo (St Mary's), Naison Nemadziva (Buhera South) and Ministers Sekai Holland and Lucia Matibenga.
Mbuso Fuzwayo, the secretary general of Ibhetshu likazulu took a swipe at Zanu-PF and MDC T law makers for being corrupt and untrustworthy with public funds.
"Those that cannot account for the CDF are corrupt thugs; some of them were running simbazo with CDF. They must not be voted into office again as they have demonstrated beyond reasonable doubt that they cannot be trusted with public funds," said Fuzwayo.
He also urged government to prosecute the MPs arguing that they are thieves who must be 'brought to book' by the law.
"Government must cleanse its reputation by arresting and prosecuting these lawmakers who have abused public funds. The government must defend its reputation because we cannot be lead by amasela," said the livid Fuzwayo.
He added that the failure by the Zanu-PF and MDC-T MPs to account for public funds clearly "shows that there is no difference' between the two political parties.
"They (Zanu-PF and MDC-T) are just the same, so people must treat them as rogue thieving political twin who have no place in civilized politics and must be kept away with other crooks in Khami and Chikurubi prison," said Fuzwayo.
Parliament has indicated that it will cause the "affected" MPs to account. No-one has been arrested.
