Four members of the Zimbabwe National Army allegedly dismantled police roadblock manned by three ZRP officers in Mashonaland central.
According to an internal police document seen by this reporter the police were intimidated by four suspected soldiers in an unregistered Mazda double cab BT50.
"On the 17th day of November 2017, Police Centenary was manning a traffic enforcement road block at 0,5 kilometer peg Centenary\Muzarabani road.
"Road block was being supervised by constable Mwale who was accompanied by constable Masvovere and constable Mureya.
"At about 12:30 hours they were approached by four alleged members of the Military (ZNA) who were driving a double cab Mazda BT 50 vehicle white in colour with no registration numbers and instructed them to dismantle the road block until situation normalized, "reads part of the contents in the letter addressed to PDIO Guruve District.
Meanwhile, police roadblocks are no where to be seen since the Military takeover and the police has since proved powerless.
In a comment written by Centenary police they urged the district to deploy more armed officers as the coup continue to rock Zimbabwe
"The situation in the country at the moment requires that if police is on the roads, it should be a security roadblock where there are more members and armed rather than traffic enforcements."
