MDC members granted bail at the Supreme Court

The bail appeal by seven MDC members at the Supreme Court was granted today by Deputy Chief Judge, Justice Luke Malaba.
The seven are part of 29 MDC members who are facing charges of murdering a police officer in Glen View in May last year.
Glen View councillor, Tungamirai Madzokere was granted US$1 000 while brothers Lazarus and Stanford Maengahama, Phineas Nhatarikwa, Stanford Mangwiro, Yvonne Musarurwa and Rebecca Mafikeni were granted US$500 each.
However, three other members, Solomon Madzore, the MDC Youth Assembly chairperson, Jefias Moyo and Paul Rukanda are still in remand prison and are yet to be granted bail as they were arrested later in the year.
