A Muzarabani pregnant woman was found hanging from a tree in Mvurwi yesterday (Tuesday) morning.
The woman has been identified as Susan Chaya.
Sources who spoke to Bulawayo24.com said they suspect foul play in the matter basing on how the woman was positioned.
"We saw this body hanging but from the look of it, this woman might have been killed somewhere and subsequently hanged.
"The type of cloth used is not very strong and she was a few inches from the ground," explained the source.
"When one is hanging him or herself pain is experienced and one would try to resist but the body looked as though it was just placed on a tree."
A relative to the deceased identified as Komboniyatsva said the untimely death of Chaya has brought shock to the whole family though she had marital problems but they never expected her to end her life.
"We are failing to come to terms with the untimely death of Chaya as a family.
"She had marital problem with her husband in Muzarabani but the matter had since been resolved we wonder why she took her life."
Mashonaland Central police spokesperson Assistant Inspector Petros Masikati said he is yet to get the case.
"We are yet to get the case as soon as we get it l will get back to you ," he said.
Meanwhile, investigations by this reporter proved that Chaya was always suicidal as she drank toxic twice and escaped on both occasions.
The pregnancy she had is also believed to be from another who is not her husband.
