North Korea congratulates Mnangagwa

PYONGYANG: The Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) has congratulated Zimbabwe's new president Emmerson Mnangagwa on his inauguration as the head of state, the official Korean Central News Agency said Monday.
Kim Yong Nam, president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly, on Saturday sent a congratulatory message to Mnangagwa, wishing the latter big success in his work for the country's stability and prosperity, as well as regional peace and development.
Kim also expressed his belief that the long-standing, traditional, friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries would continue to strengthen in the future.
The DPRK and Zimbabwe maintained close relationship during the rule of former Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe.
