A political analyst Dr.Pedzisai Ruhanya has urged the government to allow former Vice President Phelekezela Mphoko to come back home saying it was unfair for an elderly man like Mphoko to be humiliated.
Mphoko was in Japan when the military launched operation to restore order which targeted the G40 group in Zanu PF it described as criminal around former President Robert Mugabe. Mphoko had no guts to come back home after hearing that his colleagues were being arrested and he went to stay in Botswana where he has reportedly phoned President Emmerson Mnangagwa pleading with him to allow him back home.
"I personally would not want to see the humiliation of former VP Mphoko. Let the old man come home and leave in peace. Who among us is clean especially among these Zanu PF comrades. Take the country forward and put aside recriminations. This country needs that substantively," said Ruhanya.
