Criminal tag on Jonathan Moyo by Chiwenga and his men are tribal

Mthwakazi Liberation Front has said the recent detention and criminal tag that Defence Forces commander Constantine Chiwenga and his men put on the head of Jonathan Moyo is nothing but a tribal bias by the Gukurahundists, attempting to diplomatically bury all efforts of relaunching the Gukurahundi justice pursuit.

"As MLF, we call upon all Mthwakazi people to support Moyo through this difficult time facing the gallows. It is the time we all (Mthwakazi people) behind one of our own. We all know his father was butchered in cold blood by the very same people that arrested him, crafting false criminal charges against him," reads the party statement.

"We say, yes Prof Moyo played dirty games on the people of Tsholotsho some years back, tying them on to ZANU, the very same ZANU that has labelled him a criminal, that wants him dead or alive, the very same ZANU he said he had been brought into, to captain, after his appointment as Information Minister in 2013 and the very same Zanu that released a statement recently confirming his expulsion, leaving behind Tsholotsho people tied on the ZANU boat, he deserves Mthwakazi people'support,especially now that Shonas are ganging up against him."

"We believe he has a case to answer only to us as Mthwakazi people and not to any Zimbabwean individual or organization."

The party said in as much as they feel he has learnt his lesson that umlilo wamasela awothiwa, we however acknowledge his courage and attempt to take on and dismantle the Gukurahundists from within and we feel his fight must not go down without support from the people whose cause he was fighting.

"If Chiwenga stood up, mobilised his Gukurahundis backing Mnangagwa not because he had been unfairly dismissed but because his dismissal was going a long way towards reopening the Gukurahundi Inquiry, a nightmare to him and the rest of Shonas, why should Mthwakazi watch through their windows while Prof Moyo go down for their cause?" said MLF.

"This is the time all Mthwakazi people and organisations unite behind Prof Moyo for a good and worthwhile cause, and PURSUE JUSTICE FOR GUKURAHUNDI MASSACRES. If Zimbabwe is a 'constitutionaldemocracy' operating without tribal bias, then all those who are thought to have had a hand in criminal activities must all and equally face the wrath of the law. Which means Moyo MUST be prosecuted for causing disharmony in ZANU and Mnangagwa MUST be prosecuted for the Gukurahundi killings. What Moyo is accused of, is only an act of misconduct which only needed an internal disciplinary measure taken against him."

"We see absolutely nothing he did that could land him behind bars and if Chiwenga surely wanted to nail criminals, why would he arrest Moyo, pardon Mugabe, ignore Sydney Sekeremayi and elevate Mnangagwa Mnangagwa to presidency? In fact who should tankers have been deployed to search for between Moyo and Mnangagwa or Mugabe?"

MLF said they further believe that their laws do not approve of criminals taking up public offices which is why ZANU took the stand to expel Prof Moyo.

"We wonder why in the process of toughening their grip of criminals, they chose to brush aside Gukurahundi charges against Mnangagwa elevating him to the highest position in Zimbabwe? What Chiwenga did pushing for Mnagagwa to succeed Mugabe, to us, it was only to force bury the Gukurahundi inquiry that they feared Moyo was close to reopening. The actions of Chiwenga and company are a breach of their constitution, which Mutsvanga claimed soldiers were custodians of, exposing the bias of Shonas against Mthwakazi people because if Mugabe had stepped down Phelekezela Mphoko as the only existing Vice President, he should resumed the seat of the president until such a time that elections have been called. Why has he been brushed aside? What are his sins in ZANU to deserve such a coup?" said MLF.

"Exposing their bias furthermore, among the cases against Mugabe, it was said he was liable for corruption that has crumbled the Zimbabwe economy over the years. Mugabe alone owns 13 most productive and biggest farms in Zimbabwe, gotten through corrupt means but still such a culprit is set to continue benefiting from the 'state' resources as a resignation package. Why condemn corruption and go own to award a package to those that are held liable for corruption without them having climbed the dock in their defence?"

MLF said all these shall serve as an eye opener to all Mthwakazi people who are still blindfolded by the so called 1987 Unity Accord that, that was just a desparate attempt by Dr Joshua Nkomo to end the killings, it has and it will continue serving no unity and equality purpose in Zimbabwe and it is time they all face the reality and know where they truly belong.

"Zimbabwe and Zimbabweans will never promote a thing that seeks to address and promote the well-being of Mthwakazi people. Instead they will use Mthwakazi people, see them being envied by their kith and kins and later on dump them like used condoms," the party said.

"This is the message we would like to put across to the likes of Sibusiso Moyo, Vallery Sibanda, Simon Khaya Moyo, Overt Mpofu, Thokozani Khuphe and many others who are still trapped in this false Zimbabwean marriage. If Enos Nkala failed to clean out all the Ndebele blood in his system, why do they think they will manage to do it? Know it that, that's all a dream that will one day end as it has, with our most educate and greatest strategist, Prof J Moyo."
