Mnangagwa is an extension of Mugabe - MDC official

An MDC official Descent Bajila has said President Emmerson Mnangagwa through his appointment of a new cabinet has exhibited that he is just an extension of the former President Robert Mugabe.
"As I said yesterday, Lacoste zealots on Social Media have been spreading fake news about EDM being any different from RGM. They circulated hoaxes about EDM requesting CVs from Ministers, EDM keen on a small Cabinet, EDM being magnanimous to working with opposition, EDM driving without a scary convoy and so on and so on," Bajila said.
"Those who wanted to believe in the hoaxes did believe. That is what freedom is about. They told us that by refusing that such was real we were being too negative and pessimistic. Again that is a benefit of freedom. Some who pretended to speak on behalf of EDM even told us that EDM is abolishing the position of Deputy Minister. Today they are saying the likes of Terrence Mukupe deserve to be Deputy Ministers."
He said some have been carried away by Nkosana Moyo's positive commentary about EDM being a decisive and astute man.
"There is nothing decisive about EDM. He is indecisive and captured. The very fact that he is appointing his Cabinet in installments says a lot about his indecisiveness. He started with 2 Acting Ministers, then a Cabinet with a few Deputy Ministers and no Vice President. No doubt there is another installment of appointments on the way," Bajila said.
"His logistical inabilities were laid bare at the swearing in ceremony where some dignitaries were introduced by wrong names, titles and nationalities. That the venue and time of the swearing in of the new Cabinet has not been determined yet the appointments are said to be with immediate effect is just another sign how clumsy the fellow is."
He said no one is allowed to carry out the duties of a Minister without taking an oath of office. He said ministerial appointments are only effective from the time one takes an oath of office.
"The fact that there were 3 women in the RGM Cabinet and it is exactly those 3 women that EDM retained, nothing more nothing less, puts paid the suspicion that the fellow could have anything to do with affirmative action. He couldn't even request Chiwenga to second female Generals," he said.
"Most interestingly, one of the charges against RGM in the impeachment motion was failure to observe Chapter 14 of the Constitution which requires Government to facilitate the establishment of Provincial Councils and Devolve power to them. The Mugabeist move by EDM to appoint 10 Provincial Affairs Ministers means that he too is not willing to implement devolution and is therefore guilty, ab initio, of the same crimes for which RGM was supposed to be impeached. With Rtd Brigadier George Chiweshe as Judge President of the High Court, EDM knows that ALL challenges to his incumbency will be thrown away."
He said an appeal at the Supreme Court also won't help because Chief Justice Luke Malaba and his bench were alive when war veterans stormed into Anthony Gubbay's Office to end his tenure as CJ.
"Most recently, they watched Operation Restore Legacy. By the way, if you toyitoyied that day, this is what you unknowingly toiled for," he said.
