32 member cabinet is not lean - MDC-T official

An MDC-T official Chalton Hwende has said the 32 member cabinet including the deputy ministers that has been announced by President Emmerson Mnangagwa is not lean but too much for a bankrupt nation like Zimbabwe.
Mnangagwa on Thursday announced a cabinet which has condemned by man as composed of dead wood and excludes women and youth who constitute the majority population in the country.
"A 32 member cabinet with 6 deputy ministers is hardly a lean cabinet for a bankrupt country like Zimbabwe. The MDC will trim this to 15 Ministers.
"It's sad that the Women and young people were sold a dummy. We promise a 50-50 Gender representation and a younger cabinet 2018 let's complete the change," Hwende said.
