A United Kingdom based Zanu PF members Nick Mangwana‏ has expressed skepticism as to the fact that it appears the army's operation restore legacy was targeting only Ignatius Chombo, Kudzanayi Chipanga and Hamandishe saying if it was targeting criminals more must be behind bars to increase confidence by citizens on the operations,

So far only the three former Zanu PF are kept in custody which then reduces the seriousness of the purpose of the military to engage in a mid night operation only to arrest three people and take over power from former president Robert Mugabe.

"Operation Restore Legacy's pretext was that it was "going against criminals" surrounding RGM. Surely that cannot start and end with Chombo, Hamandishe and Chipanga. Tanks did not roll in the street for those 3 people. We need more to restore confidence," Mangwana said.
