General orders army not to harass citizens

The Commander Zimbabwe National Army Lieutenant General Phillip Valerio Sibanda has called on the national army to be disciplined and to desist from harassing citizens.
Lieutenant General Sibanda was addressing a pass out parade of 590 recruits at Battlefields in Mhondoro Ngezi.
Discipline and patriotism are very essential in the military because of the extreme duties that the armed forces carry out.
Lieutenant General Sibanda implored army graduands to be disciplined and to desist from harassing fellow citizens.
He said soldiers are important members of society who should instead strive to work towards the betterment and well-being of communities they operate in.
He expressed gratitude to traditional leaders who graced the occasion and to the Kwekwe business community and individuals who provided resources and facilities during the training programme.
The General Duty Soldiers Course Number 33b 2017 covered subjects such as foot and arms drill, map reading and navigation, civic military education and weapon training, among other subjects.
