Norton House of assembly member Temba Mliswa has challenged ministers who have been appointed by the new president Emmerson Mnangagwa but are implicated in corrupt activities in the past administration to do the honourable thing and resign.

About 32 ministers were sworn in on Monday at State House in Harare some of them who had served in the Robert Mugabe administration amid concerns by citizens that they have nothing new to offer.

"My wish was that the ministers implicated in corrupt activities be honourable and step down whilst the law takes its course. Anyone guilty should not wait to be fired but step down. It is moral after seemingly putting your own interests before that of the country. Let's mature," Mliswa said.
