The Meteorological Service Department says the country is expecting rains starting from today to mark the end of a prolonged dry spell.
Weather forecaster in the department, Mr John Mupuro noted that the season has not performed well in terms of rains since mid-November, a situation that affected crops in most parts of the country.
He however assured farmers not to panic since normal to above rainfall is expected for the 2017-18 farming as predicted.
Most farmers are in a panic mood across the country since their crops are suffering from moisture stress.
