The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) says it is committed to working with the public.
This follows the announcement by Zimbabwe Defence Forces (ZDF) Commander, General Philip Valerio Sibanda signalling the end of the Operation Restore Legacy.
The Acting ZRP Commissioner General Godwin Matanga said the withdrawal of members of the ZDF from police operations implies that the ZRP will now carry their duties on their own.
He was speaking during a media briefing in Harare, where he added that as the ZRP, they take complaints by the public as a yardstick of reforming and re-engineering of services.
Commissioner General Matanga added that as members of the ZRP, they have an important role in facilitating the provision of a good working environment with members of the public.
