Unity accord died natural death

Zimbabwe Congress of Trade Union Chairman for the Westeran Regoion Ambrose Sibindi has said the unity accord signed in 1987 by Joshua Nkomo and Robert Mugabe has since died a natural death.
The remarks come as the nation celebrates the unity day today.
"The developments in Zanu Pf seem to suggest that the said unity accord has died a natural death.
"The appointment of Phelekezela Mphoko signified that because in terms of the letter and spirit of the accord Simon Khaya Moyo should have been elevated to the position of vice president.
"The resignation of Dumiso Dabengwa and others from Zanu bears testimony to the collapse of the unity accord.Unity is just on paper but practical it's gone," he said.
"Even the revival of Zapu by Dabengwa and others further proved that unity accord is the thing of the past.We are all keeping our fingers crossed to see who Mnangangwa will a point as his vice presidents."
