The Zanu PF National Chairperson Oppah Muchinguri-Kashiri has issued a stern warning on all provincial leaders who continue with purges and retributions of party members.
She urged all members to take heed of the call by President Emmerson Mnangagwa to desist from retributive acts as they are against party rules and regulations.
While addressing Zanu PF workers at the party headquarters, Muchinguri-Kashiri thanked President Mnangagwa for appointing her to the high profile post which was abolished five years ago.
She said she will not brook any nonsense in her duties which include heading the disciplinary portfolio and the national electoral committee, adding those who continue to defy the constitution and President Mnangagwa's clarion call to desist from retributions and purges will be dealt with accordingly.
"All progressive party members should bear in mind that general elections are just around the corner and the party leadership is not going on holiday as it had lots of work to do in preparation for the polls next year," she said.
President Mnangagwa has been consistent in urging the nation to let bygones be bygones as the new dispensation has an agenda of uniting the party, winning next year's elections and reviving the economy for the betterment of the lives of the people of Zimbabwe.
