Women key to development, says Mutsvangwa

The empowerment agenda has been one of government's top priorities with women being encouraged to take part in the initiative.
Manicaland Minister of State Monica Mutsvangwa says now is the time for women to show that they are also a vital cog in the development agenda.
She was speaking at a function attended by women entrepreneurs and members of the Zanu PF women's league in Mutare.
Mutsvangwa said women have the requisite skills needed to chart the development agenda Zimbabwe has set its sights on.
There is also consensus that the coming in of Mutsvangwa as Manicaland Minister of State is a breath of fresh air that will accelerate the province's contribution to the country's overall development.
Mutsvangwa also took the opportunity to give out hampers as Christmas presents to chiefs' wives who were in attendance.
Since her elevation, Mutsvangwa has been meeting stakeholders to ensure that the province sets the tone in contributing to the country's development.
