Pasi seeks Mugabe backing to retain his job

Zimra commissioner general Gershem Pasi whom Finance minister Tendai Biti is trying to relieve of his duty this week got the backing of President Mugabe and several cabinet ministers to retain his job.

This comes after Biti stepped up his efforts to oust Pasi by raising concerns over the slow implementation of critical projects and the allegedly inhumane treatment of travellers at border posts who were being subjected to body searches.
