Chiwenga and other military personnel welcome into politics - MDC-T

The MDC-T Bulawayo spokesperson Felix Mafa Sibanda has said the coming of former Defence Forces commander Constantino Guveya Chiwenga and other military personnel into politics is a welcome move.
"We as MDC and civil society organizations have been calling all political soldiers who always delved into politics to remove their uniforms and join the political terrain in order to meet them head on. To this end, we welcome, Messrs CG Chiwenga, Sibusiso Moyo, A Rugenje and Perence Shiri. This is an honest welcome fellows, into the frying pan and we hope you are not strings attached to the military or security establishment henceforth. As long as you have absolutely chosen politics as your last form of activities while enjoying your beefed up pensions by an upper notch and that is good and fine," he said.
"Politics is a clean science as any other science one might think of. I contradict overwhelmingly that it is dirty ,no its not dirty but practised by most extremely dirty individuals. We are determined to meet these new political recruits from the army in the ground, air,sea and in every Zimbabwean territory where ideas shall determine who is who in the emancipation of the toiling and struggling masses of Zimbabwe due to ZANU PF economic and sociopolitical mismanagement since 1990s to date."
He said as long as President Emmerson Mnangagwa's administration will adhere to constitutionalism and natural justice the new aforesaid political recruits ,the former military personnel will taste the pudding in the political terrain for is not as easy as commanding compressed and disciplined soldiers as it were.
"Being a politician takes a pound of flesh each day,therefore these political recruits from the army be ready to meet us at every square meter of Zimbabwe, come 2018 plebiscite," he said.
