Where is first lady getting money for donations she is making? - ZCP

Zimbabwe Communist Party secretary general Ngqabutho Nicholas Mabhena has questioned the source of the funding which is enabling the first lady Auxillia Mnangagwa to make donations around the country considering the fact that the national budget announced by Finance minister Patrick Chinamasa recently did not include her programmes.

The first lady embarked into visiting various children's homes and health institutions around the country where in some places she donated some goodies to the under privileged.

"In the budget as presented by Minister Chinamasa, l did not see anything set aside for the First Lady to be donating goodies. Where are these goods or gifts coming from? The Former First Lady is said to have received goods from Zimra , taken from travellers at the port of entry which she used to distribute as part of her political campaigns," said Mabhena.

"It would be good for the government to take us into confidence and explain the source of these presents. While we appreciate these gifts to the poor, we need to know if the money to purchase is taken from treasury or is from private donors or its from the Mnangagwa." family.
