Norton house of assembly member Temba Mliswa and former Minister of Education have responded to the arrest of sacked former Minister of Sport, Arts and Recreation Makhosini Hlongwane.
Hlongwane was a Member of Parliament for Mberengwa East before being expelled from ZANU on factional grounds.
He was found in position of 10 tonnes of sugar beans stashed at his farm in Midlands, which he could not account for according to Midlands police spokesperson Assistant Inspector Ethel Mukwende.
Mliswa did not condone Hlogwane's arrest saying president Emmerson Mnangagwa's cabinet has many criminals that should also appear in court since Hlogwane only had beans, which was most likely food aid.
"All due respect but arrest of Hlogwane will not dent economy as there are many even in the cabinet who need also to appear before courts. Beans were most likely food aid so am surprised there was no rice maize too! Food aid should be distributed for all not just to ZANU PF MPs," said Mliswa on Twitter.
David Coltart also anticipated the arrest of the most corrupt Minister in Mnangagwa's cabinet.
"'Former minister Hlongwane arrested' - But l am still waiting for arguably the most corrupt Minister Zimbabwe has ever had to be arrested," said Coltart in a tweet.
