Endorsement of Tsvangirai as Presidential candidate a betrayal of supporters

A political comnmenator Aubrey Mubvumbu has said the endorsement of MDC-T leader Morgan Tsvangirai as an MDC Alliance presidential candidate for the 2018 elections was a betrayal of the supporters.
He said it is a mere betrayal of the people for MDC-T to endorse Tsvangirai as its candidate for next year elections.
"Most people are fed up with him and come 2018,people will dump his party enmasse. The people concerns are that, Tsvangirai was supposed to call it quits in 2013 after his grand defeat and allowed the people to choose a new leader in a democratic manner. It is naive and insincere for him to think he is the life president of MDC," he said.
"Free and fair elections must begin with the MDC-T,the MDC Alliance and lastly the national elections. I am still confused as to how he was made the Alliance leader.Was it by way of elections or negotiations by by his counterparts. If he was imposed by some alliance members,then then his candidature does not reflect the will of the people. Democracy must have allowed the people to participate in the process. He said so the fissures that emerged in the respective parties that form that Alliance displays that there was little consensus if any ,in the manner Tsvangirai was endorsed.
"What was the criteria used in the allocation of sits? Was the Alliance negotiated on a BIG BROTHER mentality? If so,the alliance was not entered in good faith. Tinoonawo kuti vana Thokozani Khupe havana kufara nazvo,vana Matibenga wo zvakatashurana Biti akadzingwa zvinobva zvaratidza kuti Tsvangirai and Biti have a total disregard for other people's voices yet they want Zanu Pf to look into their concerns. "So it is extremely dangerous for the people of Zimbabwe to vote for these self-centred and autocratic leaders. This is not the case with Mnangagwa. Mnangagwa is a product of the people's wills because the Central Committee the Politburo,all the Zanu PF provinces and the generality of the Zimbabwean people have collectively endorsed him as our President. A close look into how Mnangagwa became our candidate make one to conclude that Zanu Pf is a democratic party for the people with the people."
He said it is contrary with the MDC-T where decisions are made on factional and loyalty politics.
"The so-called alliance has evenly widened the cracks in the opposition forces that will culminate in mass defections by top members like Nelson Chamisa, Sikhala, Gutu and others before the elections," he said.
