In a twist of events a 30-year-old Guruve man who reportedly axed his wife to death in Bakasa has been apprehended by police detectives in the early hours of Saturday (today).
Bulawayo24.com has it on good record that Passmore Zamharo (30) was arrested by two detectives' constable Mutusva and Taerera around 00:30 hour, following the death of his wife Dorothy Tsabora (25), It only took 36hours for the detectives to locate and arrest the suspect.
Allegations are that Zamharo axed his wife twice in the head on Thursday morning accusing her of prostitution.
Zamharo reportedly fled to Gota farm in Guruve, where Mutusva and Taerera followed and apprehended him.
He is currently in police custody assisting police with investigations and is set to appear before Bindura magistrate court tomorrow.
However, Mashonaland Central police spokesperson Inspector Milton Mundembe could not be reached for comment.
Murder cases are on the increase in Zimbabwe a clear indication that people are failing to solve their differences amicably at the same time ignoring Zimbabwe Republic Police ZRP awareness campaigns.
