The family of a 24-year-old man, who was allegedly murdered by his former wife, has vowed to avenge if justice is not pronounced.
Alistair Machaka bled to death after he was allegedly stabbed on his left thigh by his former wife Patience Nyikayaramba on New Year's Day.
During the burial on Saturday, Alistair's younger brother Tinotenda Machaka said Patience should face consequences of her actions.
"From the meetings we have been holding as a family, we have come to a resolution that we will get to the end of this matter.
"As I have said before, Alistair was murdered and it is not our role to put the law into our own hands on how the matter has to be dealt.
"But if she (Patience) escapes the wrath of the law, we will not sit back, they still have to engage us or else avenging spirits will be after her and her family," he said.
Tinotenda added that Patience stabbed his brother because he had moved on with his life.
"Reliable news that we have received is that Patience killed my brother because he went to her house to talk about the welfare of their child.
"He went there to inform her that he had found a new girlfriend and he wanted to know how he could also contribute in looking after their child.
"As a family we had even been introduced to Alistair's new girlfriend, she stays in South Africa and they were about to start a family.
"The news was not supposed to be something shocking to Patience since she had not been staying with my brother for a while, however she then decided to attack him because of that," he said.
