President Emmerspon Mnangagwa is likely to defer the holding of elections owing to the fact that it appears the ruling party has not been ready to contest the election as all efforts to campaign got disrupted when former President Robert Mugabe who had been endorsed as candidate was ousted.
According to the Fox source, Mnangagwa is mulling delaying the elections due to uncertainty. He is opting for a transitional arrangement.
"He is lobbying MPS. Themba Mliswa is at the forefront. He is worried about the high numbers of young registered voters, He is also worried about the high numbers of registered voters in Mash East, Central & West because they as Zanu PF did not drive for voter registration in those areas," said the source.
