Wife bashes cop hubby over WhatsApp messages

A 27-year old Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) officer stationed at Sadza station in Chivhu was humiliated by his wife who took away his mobile phone, assaulted him, tore police dockets and finally threw police riot gear in a pit latrine on Tuesday.
Allegations are that Norman Kurima (27) had a misunderstanding with his wife Vester Warikandwa (24) over a string of love messages sent to him by another woman via WhatsApp.
Warikandwa reportedly took the mobile phone from her husband and spent the whole day with it while the husband went to work.
Kurima subsequently came back home around 21:30hours and demanded his mobile phone from Warikandwa, resulting in a scuffle.
It is further alleged that the cop tried to sneak out but he was manhandled and assaulted with open hands before being bitten on the right fore figure, left arm and shoulder.
In rage Warikandwa tore criminal dockets that were in their bedroom before taking Kurima's uniform which she reportedly threw in a pit latrine.
After being buttered by his wife Kurima filed a police report under rrb number 3289977 at Sadza police station and investigations are currently in progress.
Meanwhile, many men in Zimbabwe are being abused under Domestic Violence Act chapter 5;16, but most of their cases go unreported since some police officers have a negative attitude in attending such cases.
Many officers laugh at victims saying men should be reported not the other way round.
