Christmas eve murder suspect caught

A suspected murderer who allegedly robbed a Mhangura taxi driver of his car, $2000 and mobile phone before killing and burying him in a shallow grave on Christmas Eve has been arrested.
Sources familiar with incident told Bulawayo24.com that the suspect who was only identified as BaLee Ruhata was caught practising illegal gold mining while using the taxi on mushika-shika in Mazowe.
"After reading the murder story on Bulawayo24.com some informers called the police informing them about the robbed white taxi registered AEH 5941 which was being used by the accused on mushika-shika.
"He was also doing some illegal mining (kukorokoza) so when the police details arrived he was caught unaware," revealed the source.
Hwata is facing a murder charge following the death of Wilton Madzongwe (30) who was killed after he was hired from Bazzar Mhangura to Chegutu on Christmas Eve last year.
Apparently, one suspect Albert Nherera aka Pondo a tout at Bazzar, day dreamt about the murder on a bottle stole leading to his arrest and implicated Hwata after Madzongwe's relative testified to have conducted some rituals on their late relatives to fight back the suspects.
The body of Madzongwe was found in a shallow grave by women who were fetching fire wood on a mountain they saw dogs feasting on his decomposed flesh.
