A SOLDIER who was arrested accused of sodomising a teenager pulled a shocker when he allegedly sodomised two other men while in police holding cells at Matapi police station in Mbare.

Tawanda Chibira, 32, of 2 Presidential Guard in Dzivarasekwa was not asked to plead when he appeared before Mbare magistrate Arnold Maburo facing three counts sodomy.

The soldier was remanded him in custody to March 9 for his trial and was advised to apply for bail at the High Court.

The State led by Michael Chakandida alleges that on February 2 at Block 6 A6 Shawasha Flats in Mbare at around 7pm, Tawanda lured an 18-year-old boy to his friend's apartment.

Allegations are that the unsuspecting boy consented and accompanied him to his friend's place.

It is alleged that while they were in the room Chibira unzipped his trousers forcing the young man to bend down before he sodomised the boy.

After committing heinous act, Chibira sneaked out of the room and took to his heels leaving the boy behind.

The teenage boy later lodged a complaint with the police and Chibira was placed on the police wanted list.

Chibira was later arrested on February 19 and detained at ZRP Matapi male cells.

The court heard that Chibira went on to sodomise to other detainees who were in the same holding cells with him.

Prosecutor Chakandida said that the two sodomised "thieves" reported the matter to Matapi police officer-in charge who later re-arrested Chibira on fresh charges of sodomy.
