Grain Marketing Board moves all provincial managers

THE Grain Marketing Board has transferred all provincial managers in an effort to curb rampant corruption at the parastatal intensify.
This follows the dismissal of four workers for defrauding the company.
GMB recently fired Bulawayo accounts clerk, Ms Lina Ndagura and the provincial accountant, Laden Beck after a disciplinary hearing for corruption.
Hwange depot manager Mr Christopher Magugu Ndebele and loss control officer, Mr Patrick Hove were the first to get the sack. GMB assistant corporate communications manager, Mr Joseph Katete said all provincial managers were to be transferred with effect from April 1.
"The objective of the transfers is to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness," said Mr Katete.
GMB general manager Mr Albert Mandizha said the exercise is set to continue as the organisation aims to eradicate all forms of abuse.
