MDC Alliance to hold rally in Dete, Plumtree over the weekend

MDC Alliance Presidential candidate Nelson Chamisa is expected to address two rallies in Matabeleland Provinces amid speculation the meetings are likely to be tense as this is the region where those opposed to the alliance in the MDC-T are coming from.
Analysts fear that those opposed to the alliance may instigate violence to discredit Chamisa's leadership ahead of the elections this year.
MDC official Descent Bajila said this Saturday the MDC Alliance will hold a Rally in Dete. Dete is in Hwange District of Matabeleland North Province. The 7 Principals of the Alliance will be in attendance.
"I encourage all of you in Mat North to grace the event and interact with Team Zimbabwe as we seek to reunite the peasants, the working people, women, students, youth and religious people around the work of rebuilding Zimbabwe," he said.
"Come and here us out as we champion conversations about world class transport services, professional state security, saving tax payers money through smaller but effective governance, enhancement of local government and so forth."
