12 Mar 2018 at 16:32hrs | Views
CRIMINAL prosecution of Intratrek managing director, Mr Wicknell Chivayo is imminent as the Zimbabwe Power Company, Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission and the police were finalising evidence against the former convict for failing to implement 100MW solar project despite being paid $5 million.
ZPC company secretary and legal adviser, Mrs Nora Tsomondo today told the Parliamentary Portfolio Committee on Mines and Energy chaired by Norton National Assembly member Mr Temba Mliswa that the country's law enforcement agencies were virtually through with gathering evidence aimed at bringing Mr Chivayo to justice.
This comes as the Procurement Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe (formerly State Procurement Board) told the same committee that the award of the solar power tender project to Mr Chivhayo was unlawful.
