VIPs buy 1 300 farms

A number of ruling Zanu-PF party, government and military officials have privately acquired over 1 200 farms, as Zimbabwe's land tenure system remains precarious.
The development also comes as President Emmerson Mnangagwa's administration has stressed that the agrarian reforms were 'irreversible' and has been parcelling out land to former white commercial famers, as part of a process to 'sanitise the programme and make it appear like a non-racial or discriminatory one'
