The state says there is reasonable evidence that Munyaradzi Gwisai and five others, who are facing charges of conspiracy to commit public violence, actually committed the offence.
In its closing submissions, the state represented by Mr Michael Reza said there is reasonable evidence that Gwisai and his five accomplices committed the offence.
Mr Reza said the court must consider the effects of the offence, saying the accused persons conspired to burn buildings and vehicles in Harare, adding that the accused must be given a deterrent sentence if convicted.
The state has also indicated that the six accused persons conspired to cause public violence and wanted to cause mayhem on the 1st of March 2011, adding that the playing of the videos of the events which transpired in Egypt and Tunisia was to incite people to implement the same tactics.
