ZimFirst leader Maxwell Shumba has accused the Coalition of Democrats leader Elton Mangoma for being arrogant and ignoring their position that they officially left the CODE.
ZiFirst was one of the partners in the CODE but has since served ties.
"ZimFirst has noted with disgust your continued arrogance ignoring our position that ZimFirst officially left CODE and any association with our name liable to prosecution in the court of law. As been clearly stated to you in previous communications, the appearance of our name on any CODE material is a violation of the terms ZimFirst set when it withdrew its membership in CODE," Shumba said.
"Please be advised that the flier attached herein is a violation of our party position with regards to CODE. Please remove our name with immediate effect.
"Let me point out that your demonstrated arrogance and underhand activities has left us with no option but seek legal remedy through the court of law. You will hear from us soon."
"We continue to sincerely advise you to stop forthwith soiling our good name. It was not a crime to join CODE. We came to CODE in good faith and we should be left to exist on our own in peace. We are no are no longer members of CODE and you have in your possession the letter that informed you of our position. Let me remind you that we will be seeking monetary damages resultant of your irresponsible behavior ."
He said they will hold accountable to this lawsuit any of your accomplices. For the record ZimFirst is not party to your April 14 CODE rally and DO NOT INCLUDE their name.
"With this email I would like to officially distance The ZimFirst Party from your Rally. I hope you will take our concerns seriously and act wisely. Our lawyers have been instructed to move forward with this case with immediate effect," he said.
The CODE advertised a rally in which face of Shumba was included as one of the leaders in the CODE.
