State drops fraud charges against Zanu-PF legislator

The State has dropped fraud and theft charges against Magunje legislator Franco Ndambakuwa (Zanu-PF) who was arrested for allegedly abusing the Constituency Development Fund.
Ndambakuwa is facing 2 counts of fraud and 3 of theft involving over $49 000.
Prosecutor David Magwegwe told presiding magistrate Anita Tshuma that the State was withdrawing the charges before plea and will proceed by way of summons when the docket is ready.
